Isabel Burgos
Isabel Burgos (she/her) is a fourth year Media and Screen Studies/English student with a minor in Art History. Her academic career has largely revolved around writing and editing, specifically about topics she is passionate about like literature, film, television, games, and fine arts. She has professional experience in corporate communications as well as amateur experience in newspaper copy editing. She is interested in continuing her education by attending graduate school for either Museum Studies or Library Sciences to pursue a GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) career.
Sean Drew
Sean Drew (he/him) is a fourth-year Graphic and Information Design major. As a graphic designer and photographer, Sean is fascinated by the art of telling stories through visual means. He also enjoys research-based argumentative writing and is passionate about using language to amplify the stories and experiences of folks with marginalized identities. The intersection of art and writing is what excites Sean the most. Outside of his creative endeavors, Sean is a campus tour guide and a Resident Assistant. He enjoys going for long walks around Boston and spending time with close friends.
Daliah Gurin
Daliah is a fourth-year student, majoring in Media and Screen Studies and English with a minor in Writing. Her passions include analytical writing, film criticism, storytelling through visual media, and digital humanities. Her experience with editing began in high school, where she proofread several of her classmates’ work, and has continued all throughout college in her classes, student organizations, co-op and other work experiences, and personal writing.
Ryan Pianka
Ryan Pianka is a fourth-year Cell and Molecular Biology major. He is an avid reader and his interests cover a wide range, from Greco-Roman philosophy and science to history and graphic novels. He’s passionate about making the “big ideas” in academia accessible to everyone, which is why he’s involved with the NU Writing Editorial Board and writes for NU Sci, Northeastern’s undergraduate science magazine.
Harsh Singh
Harsh Singh is a second-year Computer Science major with a Mathematics minor. His love for editing came through his work in high school where he was part of WriteOps, a student-led organisation that focused on presenting opinion and fact-based articles on socio-cultural issues. He is also very fond of the English Language in general, having taken literary classes since he was a little kid. In his free time, he enjoys folk/indie music, TV Shows, and poetry. He is a soon-to-be published author!
Alahna Vallone
Alahna Vallone is a first year at Northeastern University in Boston. In her writing, she focuses on confessional poetry and lyrical fiction. She’s an alumnus of the Sewanee Young Writers’ Conference and Creative Writing at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she was Senior Managing Editor of Élan Literary Magazine.
angela muir
angela muir is a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric and Writing Studies, where her research intersects archival methods, cultural and feminist rhetorics, and contemplative pedagogy. Her academic research appears in Composition Studies, Community Literacy Journal, and Composition Forum. Beyond academia, Angela is a poet, authoring two volumes: memory of water (Moonstone, 2022) and a river unraveled (Unlock the Clockcase, 2023). She earned her BA from the University of Michigan, an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University, and an MA in English from Boston College. Angela is Assistant Director of the Writing Program and Editor in Chief of NU Writing.
